Cool, cool, cool, cool, cool. Nothing like a screwy abstract picture to make you stare.

I'm a bit like the morning piss - nice in a wierd kind of way.
three peculiar looking creatures curiously looking over even more peculiar looking creatures. i like how the little ones look like they're slowly moving around like crabs or turtles.

Heh, those things look like phallic symbols...I don't know, lol. Nice work, like the contrast...
Intuition can be very nice indeed, tehehee... ;)
once again, great use of colors. it brings out the child-like, playfulness of the painting.

Shout.
sad and joyful at the same time..playful... yet depressing. They hang like they are dead, on a rack. The mice are surrounded, there is no escape. I adore your colors

Bottle caps; Tangled twine; could anything be more divine?
I applied for a job at this Doggie day care gym place a couple of years ago, and they also boarded animals. they had a cat room... the cats had these large multi-level crates - but they were let out for certain times of the day to play while the workers cleaned the crates... ANYWAY, on the floor there was one of those plastic hamster cages with one poor little hamster in it... the cats would smell the cage and watch it and bat their paws at the sides... I thought: "That poor stressed out hamster" when I saw that.... This reminded me of that feeling.

I love the colors that you chose... the blue background is cool, but feels warm at the same time 9there are hints of orange, is there an orange layer beneath?) The blue contrast well with the warm colors of the cats and the mice and bird... it really draws your eye to them, creates a sense of tension as well. There is something about the tone of all the colors that you chose... its vibrant but muted at the same time - its a wonderful effect. Sort of an art nouveau color palette.
This is great- I love the feeling of texture you've created with the paint :)

-It's something unpredictable, but in the end is right. I hope you had the time of your life.-

laurasface;;;; but ,, yes there is an ornage layer below the blue , bits of it peek out mm causing a tension as you said..

whimsybatt,,, yes i like contasts,,, not just color or texture but also as you said joy and sadness too ,, or clean and dirty m new/old it makes for a tension that hopefully gets a viwers atention ,,

i am working on paintings that have odd combination of character and purpose,, like cartoonsih rabits on bicycles,, or snowmen weilding chainsaws,, or scarecrows with cigarettes.. any others??
Encaustic... An ancient technique. You're daring and I like the spontaneity in this one. You remind me somehow of an Italian painter called Ligabue.
